Spoon carving for beginners dates

A half day workshop where you'll learn how to carve a spoon from locally sourced wood.

You’ll find yourself lost in a world of wood chips and the beautiful facets of the natural product as you’re taken through the spoon carving process from beginning to end. Starting with a wooden blank, you'll learn safe knife techniques, the architecture of a spoon, types of wood and finishing processes, and by  the end you'll have your very own cooking spoon to take home. All materials and tools will be supplied.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners and no experience is assumed. However, as we’ll be using sharp knives, the class is for over 18s only
