Two day back pack workshop 13 - 14 June

Spend a weekend making this beautiful and useful wicker back pack.
One of my most sought after workshops and specially designed for beginners or those with a little basket making experience.
On the first day you'll make the base and start the side weave. On day two you'll finish the weaving and complete the basket with a border. Then you'll carve toggles and add the straps and handle ready to strut home with it jauntilly on your back.
All materials and tools provided. You'll need to bring a packed lunch as there wont be time to pop out and get something to eat.
Workshop starts promptly at 10.00 and will end about 17.00/17.30 (Please arrive by 09.45 so we can hit the ground running)
Basketmaking is hard on the hands. If you have a loss of hand strength this might not be the craft for you.
This workshop will be held at The Greenwood Guild, Stepney City Farm.
