Round basket workshop, Saturday 25th October 2025

Spend a lovely day making this really useful basket - it could make a perfect tool basket too.
Using Somerset grown willow and traditional techniques you will learn how to make a base, weave the sides and finally add a handle.
This basket is a good start to your basketmaking journey, but for those that already have some basketmaking experience you'll be able to extend your knowledge.
It will be an intense, but enjoyable day. I'll provide all tools and materials.
Start at 10.00 (arrive by 9.45 so we can hit the ground running) and we'll keep going until we're finished (probably around 17.00 - 17.30).
Time: 10.00 - 17.00(ish) (please arrive by 09.45)
Place: Teddington Constitutional Club, Stanley Road, Teddington (free parking, close to Fulwell and Teddington stations and bus routes)
Please bring a packed lunch as we'll take a short lunch break to ensure we finish our baskets in time.
Free tea, coffee, home made cake provided.
Full dissabled access.
Please bear in mind basket making is tough on the hands, so if you have a loss of strength in your hands you might find this class difficult.
